Friends,
I want you to please read this entire page from top to bottom!
Web 2.0 is an
expression that's made its way around the Internet the past few years
and despite the amount that it's used, few people really understand
what it means.
Web 2.0
generally refers to websites that encourage some sort of user
interaction. What kind of interaction and how necessary that
interaction is to the site seems not to matter, but when it comes to
driving traffic, interaction is one of the best things that have ever
come out of the internet.
Interactivity
is the key to moulding web traffic to do what you want. Interactivity
is the way to get users involved in your site and to get them coming
back for more. Interactivity is the key to repeat customers and in
today's world, its the key to big profits.
There are lots of different types of Web 2.0
sites on the web and there are hundreds of new ones built and launched
every day. There are equally a similar amount of ways to utilize these
sites, the trick is to know which sites are perfect for your needs and
abilities.
To fully
understand how to drive traffic with Web 2.0 and to fully understand
how you can maximize your time and profit potential, you need to read
the new eBook, Traffic 2.0.
Interaction Is The Key To Bigger Profits...
Traffic 2.0 was written out of the necessity
to adapt to the evolution of online life.
I became known as the "go to guy" if you were
interested in learning how to share or profit from your passions by
developing specific areas of niche expertise. I began to
concentrate on some very specific niches and was recognized by many for
the comprehensiveness of my approach and domination of some very
unlikely niches. I was certainly not someone that I would
refer to as an Internet Marketing authority or "guru". I was
just a fellow that had survived online since 1994 lurking in the
shadows...or so I thought. Recently I discovered that a "well
known" Internet Marketer had known of me from my early days online
providing jazz music information, CDs, Posters and original artwork.
I was dominating a niche even before I knew what a niche was.
I just figured that it made common sense to find an area of
specialization and provide a central "clearinghouse" for everything
that was jazz related. Beyond affiliate products and a
cataloging of all jazz musicians, I was never much of an online money
making
kind of guy. I was a service oriented, relationship building kind of
guy. I was more interested in providing quality information
to others interested in jazz music and I definitely didn't care much
about driving traffic.
What I did
enjoy about the internet was the ability to meet people online.
I can still remember the thrill when the jazz
site reached over 100 different nations served. A
much smaller scale than the earliest days of McDonalds but a sweet
benchmark for me. When my jazz site found its way into national
educational curriculums and a course syllabus at Harvard
University...well, you can't begin to imagine the feeling of pride and
satisfaction I got from that achievement!
As you probably know, there's a limited
amount of time that one can have to work online and one needs to learn
to work more efficiently to succeed and diversify. I
received some of the best advice possible from the most unlikely
source, the "old folkie" Pete Seeger once told me that the
thing he loved about singing folksongs and performing was that it
allowed him to reach out and touch others so that they could go forth
like fireflies in the night spreading the light to thousands of places
that he might never hope to go.
When I first began to explore social mediated
platforms like Facebook and MySpace a little over a year ago, I wasn't
really sure what to do to tap their marketing
potential. I was sure of one thing, I wasn't going to insult
people or merely hawk products. I also opted not to use
automated tools and run the risk of being deleted or offending others.
What I rapidly discovered was that places like MySpace and other Social
Mediated Platforms were prime virtual communities to achieve some of
the primary objectives discovered and revealed by Dr. Robert Cialdini
of Arizona State University in his book "Influence: The
Psychology of Persuasion". In addition to establishing a
level of "perceived" credibility and "social proof", these social
networking communities allowed me to interact with real people in very
human ways.
I had heard
the term social networking a few months earlier, but I only had a vague
idea of what it really meant. I had argued the merits of electronic
communication, what I referred to as "intermediated" communication, as
far back as 1980 when I was working as a communication researcher and
scholar in an academic setting and 14 years in advance of the world
wide web. I never magined that nearly 27 years later I would
find myself developing a reputation as someone others could turn to and
rely upon for information related these "intermediated" social
platforms that are generically referred to as Web 2.0.
The Grand Adventure
Begins...
From the time
that I first
discovered the potential of MySpace in September, 2006 my online life
began to change and I instantly fell
in love with the potential and nature of social media platforms. I had
been fortunate enought to be on a "pre-launch" call that Jim Lodwig had
arranged with an unknown marketer names Sean Wu on May 23rd of 2006.
Sean talked about what he called "tag and ping" that relied upon social
bookmarking sites like Delicious, Digg, Furl, etc. Soon after
that I began to integrate social bookmarking sites into my
marketing plan and they were joined by social networking platforms in
the Fall of 2006. As I observed where I was receiving
increased visits from highly targeted and motivated unique
visitors... I was addicted!
Over the next few months, I spent every
waking moments exploring these social sites. I would jump from site to
site,
meeting new people and interacting with the ones I already knew. I
would share links, trade information, give interviews and leave posts
almost every where I
went. I was obsessed.
A year ago, I teamed with a couple of friends
and compiled the first collection of social bookmarking and social
networking sites with an interview that we recorded where we discussed
this virtually untapped and under recognized source of potential traffic
I didn't know
this at the time, but I was completely immersing myself in the nuances
of the Web 2.0. At the time I just thought that I was figuring out what
the rest of the world already knew. I didn't realize how important my
research was and how groundbreaking the information I was learning
would
become. It is a very human thing to believe that everyone
else must know what you know because you know how little you know...if
that makes any sense.
I assumed
that my web research habits and behaviors were the usual, that everyone
who used
the Internet regularly was involved in the social community that I was
in. It never dawned upon me that my social behavior habits
would prove of benefit to othersl.
I
Was Completely Immersing Myself In The
Nuances Of Web 2.0
A little over a month ago, I released the
digital version of my "Web 2.0 Resource Bible"
and I
discovered just how valuable the information, tools and skills I was
developing had proven to be for my friends and others online.
I had previously been at a retreat in the
north Georgia mountains with other established Internet Marketers this
past Summer. I was startled by the lack of raised arms when
during my presentation I asked who in the room was currently using
social media and web 2.0 in their marketing efforts. Many in the
room were confused by the concept and the general talk
around the table at dinner that night was that they didn't really get
the point of "bothering" with the social media sites.
I sat there, momentarily, dumbfounded. I broke my silence and began to
share what I had discovered the merits of using social media platforms
to be for me in my business. Apparently I struck a nerve
because the conversation carried well into the night once we returned
to the commons area of our lodge.
Everyone indicated that they were impressed
with the amount of
knowledge I appeared to have on the subject and I was surprised that
few knew
what I was saying already. In further discussions with people, I
realized that my online work habits were really quite
extraordinary. Some might even say obsessive. I
unknowingly had appended Web 2.0 to the resume of Dr. Ron the NicheProf
and was becoming internationally recognized as one of social media
authorities.
People
started calling me with questions and
I was happy to answer them. Question after question started coming in
and those that I didn't already know the answer to I looked up. People
kept thanking me for my help, telling me I have a real knack for making
the most complicated procedure sound simple.
There was only one question that I couldn't
answer and it was the one question I was asked the most. How can I use
Web 2.0 websites to drive traffic to my websites?
Since I had already discovered how
to get a lot of people to watch my videos and look at my links,
I started using those methods to practice generating targeted traffic.
By the time
I was done researching the question, I had come up with a foolproof way
of using social marketing, social networking, blogs, video sites and
dozens of other Web 2.0 websites to drive traffic.
People were so appreciative of my insight
that they told their friends and my personal email responses were soon
being forwarded all over the internet. I knew I needed to do something
about it when people started forwarding my emails back to me, not
knowing I originally wrote them.
That's when I decided to build upon
the work of others and release "Social Media Traffic 2.0" as the third
component of my "Web 2.0 Resource Bible" Series. I
knew it would help stem the tide of people misusing my emails and help
explain to more people how Web 2.0 traffic can be used effectively. My
emails were intended to a certain person with a certain website, I
didn't want people to think that the methods I laid out were universal.
Each website
has specific needs that need to be addressed. The beauty of Web 2.0
traffic is that it's unusually motivated and that motivation only comes
when you are combining the website with the right traffic driving
method.
When you buy
"Social Media Traffic 2.0", you will learn the most sophisticated
traffic driving
methods using the latest Web 2.0 technology. Only after you've read all
that the book has to offer will you understand how to utilize every Web
2.0 website fully.

Ever
Wanted So Much Traffic Your Servers Come Close To
Crashing?
The goal of
any marketing effort is to create a buzz that is so strong, that the
very foundations of the Internet will shake, but let's face it, that
almost never happens. These days, it seems that the most realistic goal
to have is that your marketing effort will drive enough traffic so that
you make a profit either financially or by increasing your authority
status and credibility through the creation of genuine relationships
with your community. The members of your community should feel that
they can freely contact you at any time and their communication will be
welcomed.
Even if you
assume that a relatively high percentage of your traffic will convert,
you'll need hundreds of viewers to make any launch cost and time
effective. The
beauty of Web 2.0 traffic is that they are way more dedicated than
normal traffic.
With normal
traffic driving conversion percentages, a 5% CTR would be considered
very high. With Web 2.0 traffic, 5% would be considered low. So with
Web 2.0 traffic, not only do you have the ability to drive a lot more
people to your website, but those people who come are also more
inclined to purchase. It's a win-win situation for you and your visitor.
Even if you've already launched your website
or product, it's never too late to start your Web 2.0 campaign. With
every passing day, you are losing customers to your competition who are
using Web 2.0 traffic. Stop the bleeding now by taking active
steps to interact with your community.

Are
You Doing Things Just Sort of Right?
One of the funniest thing that I've learned
in
this short experience I've had being a Web 2.0 expert is that most
people are already doing the things they need to drive traffic, but
they just aren't doing them correctly.
We all know that the difference between doing
something perfectly right and doing something sort of correct is huge.
It's the difference between hitting a golf ball straight and far and
hitting it into the rough. Its the difference between hitting a
baseball square on the bat and watching it fly over the centerfield
fence and hitting it off the top of the bat and watching it pop up to
the second baseman.
Where Web 2.0
marketing is concerned, doing something sort of right has the same
conclusion. If you are already blogging, posting and networking and not
seeing any great results than it's because you might be doing things
only 90% right. Without that remaining 10% though, your business will
never succeed.
Let me share
with
you what seems to work for me and others succeeding onnline when they
want to drive traffic with Web 2.0 websites. With this
method, you'll discover the right way the first time and you'll never
waste your time and effort on ineffective methods ever again.
