This
is a special
pre-launch WSO to introduce you to the School of Social
Marketing and provide you with a set of recordings of recent interviews
that I've done about how to approach social media and social marketing
with what I refer to as "an economy of action."
The
School of Social Marketing will be a community where people like
yourself and others will be able to enroll and discover the power and
profit of social media marketing. The
school will provide teleseminars, audios, videos, reports, white
papers, tools and products on an ongoing basis. These goods
and services will all be related to the use and mastery of the elements
of what is generally referred to as Web 2.0. Students will
find material related to new media marketing, blogging, micro-blogging,
social aggregators, social bookmarking, social network platforms,
interviewing, conducting and use of teleseminars, professional audio,
BlogTalkRadio, podcasting, live videocasting, video sharing, videos
graphics, branding, positioning yourself as the obvious expert, people
mastery, media releases, business and corporate training, as well as,
evolving technologies. The School of
Social Marketing will be staffed by an Adjunct Faculty who will create
and deliver original content that will be unique to the school and to
supplement some of their existing content and other relevant content
from a wide variety of sources. In addition to the "general
studies" area, students will be given the opportunity to enroll in
specialized subject or curriculum modules to develop an in depth
understanding and mastery of a particular subject area.
Periodically, the students will have the opportunity to connect with
Special Visiting Consultant Faculty Members. Ultimately, each
student will have the opportunity to earn a diploma or certificate of
completion to indicate their awareness and level of training in the use
of social media and its role in creating relationships, branding and
social marketing. The School of Social
Marketing was founded by Dr. Ron Capps (aka Dr. Ron the NicheProf). Ron
is a Professor of Communication with a reputation for breaking complex
things down to simple and easy to understand terms. For the past 40
years, Ron has been involved in sales, marketing, management and
academia. He has been on the Internet since 1994 and was
active in the world of BBS and other information networks prior to
Netscape's release of the first graphical browser. A
